Chandigarh, May 12:
The Government agencies and private Traders have procured 111410 metric tonnes of wheat in Punjab on 33rd day of procurement.
Disclosing this here today, an official Spokesperson said that out of the total 111410 procurement from various procurement centres in the State, the Government agencies procured 110759 MT of wheat 651 MT has been procured by the private traders (arhtiyas).
He further said that PUNGRAIN has procured 27056.11 metric tonnes, MARKFED 25225.65 metric tonnes and PUNSUP procured 25403.10 metric tonnes while Punjab State Warehousing Corporation 15476.20 MT wheat respectively. The Centre government agancy FCI has procured 16364.08 MT wheat. Apart from this Pungrain Procured 1233 MT wheat for public distribution in the Punjab.
Progressive procurement by all the procuring agency is 13118491.79 MT.
