12 killed as minibus falls into gorge on Jammu-Srinagar highway

Jammu, October 6: Twelve people were killed and over a dozen injured when the driver of an overcrowded minibus lost control over the vehicle and it plunged into a 200-ft-deep gorge on the Jammu-Srinagar highway on Saturday, police said.

“Sixteen critically injured passengers have been evacuated from the accident site… Police, Army and civilians are engaged in the rescue efforts,” police sources said.
