Chandigarh, May 10: The government agencies and private traders procured 1,50,918 metric tonnes of wheat in Punjab on 26th day of procurement.
Disclosing this here today, an official Spokesperson said of the total 1,50,918 procurement from various procurement centres in the State, the Government agencies procured 150771 MT of wheat 147 MT has been procured by the private traders (arhtiyas).
He further said that PUNGRAIN has procured 31085 metric tonnes, MARKFED 35820 metric tonnes and PUNSUP procured 38160 metric tonnes while Punjab State Warehousing Corporation 18054 MT wheat respectively.
The Centre government agency FCI has procured 15000 MT wheat. Apart from this Pungrain Procured 12652 MT wheat for public distribution in the Punjab.
Progressive procurement by all the procuring agency is 115,25,742 MT.
