1984 riots: SAD activists under Sukhbir Badal take out march in Delhi

Date:

New Delhi, November 4: A large number of SAD activists under president Sukhbir Singh Badal on Saturday took out a march from Gurdwara Rakab Ganj to Jantar Mantar here, demanding action against the culprits of the 1984 anti-Sikh riots.

Police stopped them at Raisina Marg near the Press Club of India.

They raised slogans against the Congress, Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi.

They also chanted ‘Satnam Waheguru’.

At Rakab Ganj, Sukhbir claimed that the Congress is responsible for the killing of Sikhs in 1984. Sukhbir alleged that the Congress was protecting the accused. “The Akali Dal has come for justice. Justice has not been given for the past 34 years. The accused have been given poll tickets by the Congress,” he said.
