Remembering him as a seasoned politician and an able administrator, who worked tirelessly for the overall development and prosperity of the state, the cabinet paid tributes to Tandon, who passed away on August 14.

The Cabinet prayed to the Almighty to grant eternal peace to the departed soul and courage to the bereaved family to bear the loss.

It may be recalled that the State Government had declared half a day holiday on Tuesday afternoon, besides one-day state mourning on August 16 as a mark of respect.
