Chandigarh, May 24:
During first four days of Mission Fateh 2.0, total 24.7 lakh households have been surveyed by the ASHA covering the population of 91.2 lakh. It was disclosed by the Health & Family Welfare Minister Mr. Balbir Simgh Singh in press release here today.
Mr. Sidhu said that on the directives of Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh, the Health Department has recently launched the Mission Fateh-2.0 with an aim to screen the every person living in villages. He said that as the Case Fatality Rate of rural areas is higher than urban areas, the health department has been conducting this screening drive to ensure the COVID test of all symptomatic persons.
Health Minister said that people have reposed their faith in the Health department and are coming forward for testing, a total of 65,126 individuals have been tested for COVID 19, out of which 2036 have been tested positive. Mission Fateh kits have been provided to all the 1896 patients in home isolation whereas 140 patients have been referred to L2/L3 facility.
He said that a total of 182 pregnant women have been reported as COVID positive in rural areas of the state. Daily monitoring of these pregnant women is being done from the state headquarters. Tele-consultation services for COVID +ve and general public is being ramped up.
More Medical Officers are being appointed at Tele-consultation hub. A special helpline number has been launched today for Covid +ve pregnant women (0172-2744041, 2744041) which will be operational from 9 am to 5 pm every day, he divulged.
