With the commitment to provide due benefits to the employees, the Punjab Government has promoted 25 Training officers of the Department of Technical Education and Industrial Training. Punjab Technical Education and Industrial Training Minister Rana Gurjeet Singh on Monday handed over promotion letters to the officers in a brief ceremony here.
Disclosing this, Rana Gurjit Singh said that 25 Training officers, who have been serving in the department for a long time, have been promoted from Training officer to Principal(Group-B). He also mentioned that earlier Department has 05 posts of Principal (Group-B) and during present regime these posts have been increased from 5 to 47, and all these posts will be filled from promotion quota. Now promotion has been made against 27 posts and rest promotions will be done shortly.
Extending warm compliments to him and hoped that he would discharge his responsibilities diligently and honestly. Other Senior officers from the Department of Technical Education and Industrial Training, Punjab Mrs Daljit Kaur Sidhu Additional Director, Mrs Charanjit Kaur Under Secretary to Govt of Punjab, Mrs Avneet Kaur, Joint Director and Mr Rupinder Singh Sadhrao Deputy Director were present on this ocassion.
Rana Gurjeet Singh said that the state government has provided government jobs to 62,748 people in the last four and half years, while 9,54,110 job opportunities have been created in the private sector. Similarly, it has also extended a helping hand for 12,78,178 people to become self-employed through various means.
