Chandigarh, April 13:
The Government agencies have procured 296829 metric tonnes of wheat in Punjab on fourth day of precourment.
Disclosing this here today, an official Spokesperson said that out of the total procurement from various procurement centres in the State, the Government agencies procured 296829 MT of wheat.
He further said that PUNGRAIN has procured 78599 metric tonnes, MARKFED 75655 metric tonnes and PUNSUP procured 68439 metric tonnes while Punjab State Warehousing Corporation 49412 MT wheat respectively. The Centre government agancy FCI has procured 2883 MT wheat.Apart from this Pungrain Procured 21841 MT wheat for public distribution in the Punjab.
Progressive procurement by all the procuring agency is 544337 MT.
