Abohar/Sriganganagar, July 15
Anshu, Reetu and Suman, three sisters from Hanumangarh in Rajasthan, have cracked the state’s administrative examination, joining their two other sisters, Roma and Manju, who are already officers.
Now, all the five sisters, daughters of a farmer, Sahdev Saharan, are Rajasthan Administrative Service (RAS) officers.
Saharan, studied up to VIII class, while his wife Luxmi has had no education.
Anshu got 31st rank in OBC, Reetu got 96th and Suman got 98th rank. Reetu is the youngest among them.
Roma passed the RAS exam in 2010. She was the first RAS officer in her family. She is presently working as Block Development Officer at Sujangarh in Jhunjhunu district. Manju passed the RAS exam in 2017 and now serves the Cooperative Department at Nohar, Hanumangarh.
The news was shared by Indian Forest Service (IFS) officer Parveen Kaswan on Twitter.
“Such a good news. Anshu, Reetu and Suman are three sisters from Hanumangarh, Rajasthan. Today all three got selected in RAS together. Making father & family proud. They are five sisters. Other two Roma and Manju were already RAS. All five daughters of farmer Shri Sahdev Saharan are now RAS officers,” Mr Kaswan tweeted.
The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) final result of the RAS 2018 was declared on Tuesday. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot congratulated the toppers with a tweet.
Congratulations to Jhunjhunu’s Mukta Rao, who topped RAS exam, Tonk’s Manmohan Sharma, Jaipur’s Shivakshi Khandal for securing 2nd & 3rd positions respectively & to all who have cleared the exam. It’s a great opportunity to serve the state with dedication. My best wishes to them,” he tweeted.
The results was declared on the official website of the RPSC.
