Chandigarh, April 23: The Government agencies and private Traders have procured 431396 metric tonnes of wheat in Punjab on fourteenth day of procurement.
Disclosing this today, an official Spokesperson said that out of the total 431396 procurement from various procurement centres in the State, the Government agencies procured 431062 MT of wheat 334 MT has been procured by the private traders (arhtias).
He further said that PUNGRAIN has procured 97145 metric tonnes, MARKFED 116978 metric tonnes and PUNSUP procured 94937 metric tonnes while Punjab State Warehousing Corporation 62074 MT wheat respectively.
The Centre government agancy FCI has procured 37708 MT wheat. Apart from this Pungrain Procured 22220 MT wheat for public distribution in the Punjab.
Progressive procurement by all the procuring agency is 7112825 MT.
