6 Punjab Police team members injured in attack in Haryana

Bathinda, October 9: A Punjab Police team which went to a village in Haryana to arrest drug smugglers was attacked resulting in six personnel receiving injuries. Two of them are in a serious condition.

The police party had gone to Desu Yude village to recover drugs from a hideout when they were attacked. Dozens of rounds were fired and in the melee police vehicles were also damaged by the miscreants.

Speaking to Babushahi, Bathinda SSP Nanak Singh said the injured policemen, including one who has a gunshot wound, have been admitted to hospitals in Bathinda and Dabwali.
