Jasmine is the daughter of DSP, Vigilance Bureau, Kapurthala, Karamvir Singh Chahal. The 16-year-old student of St Joseph’s Convent School, who loves to study using a black board, attributed her success to hard work. “I have opted for non-medical stream in Class XI. At present, my focus is entirely on academics and I will decide about my future later,” she said.

She scored 100 marks each in mathematics, computers and social studies, while she got 98 marks in English and science each.

Her proud father said, “She is a brilliant girl and is competent to make her own decisions. She will take a call on her future after clearing her Class XII exams.” Jasmine’s mother Gurpreet Kaur Chahal is a government schoolteacher.
