Chandigarh, April 11: The Government agencies have procured 66321 metric tonnes of wheat in Punjab on day two of procurement.
Disclosing this here today, an official Spokesperson said that out of the total procurement from various procurement centres in the State, the Government agencies procured 66321 MT.
He further said that PUNGRAIN has procured 15788 metric tonnes, MARKFED 19859 metric tonnes and PUNSUP procured 14855 metric tonnes while Punjab State Warehousing Corporation 9639 MT wheat respectively. The Centre government agency FCI has procured 170 MT wheat.Apart from this Pungrain Procured 6010 MT wheat for public distribution in the Punjab.
Progressive procurement by all the procuring agency is 68963 MT.
