733267 MT wheat procured on Day 9

Chandigarh, April 18: The Government agencies and private traders have procured 733267 metric tonnes of wheat in Punjab on ninth day of procurement.

Disclosing this here today, an official spokesperson said that out of the total 733267 procurement from various procurement centres in the State, the Government agencies procured 733167 MT of wheat 100 MT has been procured by the private traders (arhtiyas).

He further said that PUNGRAIN has procured 1097058 metric tonnes, MARKFED 917372 metric tonnes and PUNSUP procured 956551 metric tonnes while Punjab State Warehousing Corporation 620960 MT wheat, respectively.

The Centre government agency FCI has procured 265565 MT wheat. Apart from this Pungrain Procured 315267 MT wheat for public distribution in the Punjab.

Progressive procurement by all the procuring agency is 4173129 MT.
