Chandigarh, April 19:
The Government agencies and private Traders have procured 761193 metric tonnes of wheat in Punjab on tenth day of precourment.
Disclosing this here today, an official Spokesperson said that out of the total 761193 procurement from various procurement centres in the State, the Government agencies procured 761168 MT of wheat 25 MT has been procured by the private traders(arhtias).
He further said that PUNGRAIN has procured 147353 metric tonnes, MARKFED 231361 metric tonnes and PUNSUP procured 157835 metric tonnes while Punjab State Warehousing Corporation 105740 MT wheat respectively. The Centre government agancy FCI has procured 62752 MT wheat.Apart from this Pungrain Procured 56127 MT wheat for public distribution in the Punjab.
Progressive procurement by all the procuring agency is 4934322 MT.
