New Delhi, February 23: The Delhi High Court today upheld a trial court order granting anticipatory bail to Congress leader Sajjan Kumar in two 1984 riots cases.Justice Anu Malhotra disallowed the plea by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) seeking cancellation of anticipatory bail, saying that according to records, he was available throughout the investigation.
The court directed him to comply with all conditions imposed on him by the trial court. The Congress leader was granted pre-arrest bail by the trial court on December 21, 2016, in the cases of killing of three Sikhs during the riots that had broken out after the assassination of the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.
