872 Government Secondary School libraries of state to get 4361 tablets: Pargat Singh

In order to provide quality school education and bring the Government schools in sync with the modern times, the Punjab Government is undertaking special efforts. As part of these, it has been decided to provide 4361 tablets to the libraries of 872 Government Senior Secondary Schools in the State.

Disclosing this in a press communique here today, the School Education Minister Pargat Singh said that 5 tablets per school are being distributed with a view to make the libraries of the government schools, hitech. He further said that the department is also installing apps connected with the e-content in the tablets with the directions to the concerned schools to ensure keeping of e-content operational.

The Education Minister further divulged that instructions have issued to all the District Education Officers (D.E.O.s) Secondary Education with regard to the procurement as well as the distribution of the tablets at the district level. The D.E O.s and the District Nodal Officers would inspect the quality of their respective stocks. In case of any technical fault, the department has also shared the list of service centers. The department would soon issue the instructions to schools regarding the usage of the tablets.
