AAP corners Akali MLAs says they backtracked after being coerced by party leadership

Chandigarh, October 3:

Coming down heavily on the SAD for backtracking from their initial stand of supporting the Confidence Motion in favour the state government, Aam Aadmi Party on Monday said that the double faces of Akali MLAs have been exposed once again before the people of Punjab.
Taking a dig at the MLA Manpreet Singh Ayali, an AAP Spokesperson said that why have they now backtracked from their stand. Have they been admonished by the party leadership for supporting the ‘truth’ against Operation lotus of the BJP?
The spokesperson said that Akali-BSP MLAs remained mute in the assembly when the motion was passed, but later they wrote a letter to the Speaker denying their support. This shows their double standards.
Questioning the Akali Dal, the AAP spokesperson asked if , they received a phone call from the union minister Amit Shah that forced them to change their stand.
He said that 91 AAP MLAs voted yes, supporting the motion and Manpreet Ayali voted neither for yes nor for no. When asked again by the Speaker whether he was in favor of N, he did not respond. So, their votes were counted as yes.
According to the procedure, no objection raised by any MLA is considered yes for the motion, said the spokesperson.
Lashing out at SAD president Sukhbir Singh Badal, he said that Badal should
question his MLAs why they he did not openly speak against the motion. After all what was the intention Manpreet Ayali? He should also explain that on whose threat Ayali came to clarify in a hurry after supporting the motion.
Even Badal himself had to tweet to issue a clarification of his MLA, shows that all is not well in the Akali Dal and infighting is clearly evident.
The AAP spokesperson said that is Badal is inclined to join hands with BJP again as there are speculation that Sukhbir Badal had a secret meeting with Amit Shah a few days ago.
