AAP gains strength, two eminent personalities join party

Date:

Chandigarh, March 20, 2021

The convoy of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is increasing day by day due to the pro-people policies of the party. The AAP gained strength when two eminent personalities from Hoshiarpur and Ferozepur districts joined the party. In the presence of AAP Punjab affairs in-charge and MLA from Delhi Jarnail Singh, former Congress leader Brahm Shankar Jimpa from Hoshiarpur and Vinod Soi, a social worker from Ferozepur, joined the AAP at the party headquarters here on Saturday.

Brahm Shankar Jimpa, senior vice chairman of Punjab State Industrial Development Corporation (PSIDC), has been a four-time municipal councillor from Hoshiarpur. He was also the former state secretary of Punjab Congress and former Hoshiarpur district president. Meanwhile, Vinod Soi, president of Fertilizers Dealers Association, Ferozepur, since last 13 years, had also remained as president of the students’ union. He has been actively involved in various social activities and is the patron of Citizen Forum, the oldest registered NGO of Ferozepur.

Welcoming them into the party, Jarnail Singh said that today the people see AAP as the only credible alternative that can change politics in the state and make the lives of the people better, similar to the change brought about in Delhi by AAP’s national convener and CM Arvind Kejriwal. He said that the AAP will experience a wave of support in the upcoming 2022 elections as a massive number of people were committing to working for the party. On the occasion, the personalities who joined the AAP said that whatever responsibility the party entrusts to them, they would work towards strengthening the party with full vigor and devotion.
