Amritsar / Chandigarh, February 17
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national leader and Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia claimed in a press conference in amritsar that after the formation of Aam Aadmi Party government in Punjab, people would not go to the house of any MLA, minister or leader to avail government facilities and services. Instead, government facilities will be provided by the government to the homes of people. Manish Sisodia was accompanied by Jeevan Jyot Kaur, Kunwar Vijay Pratap and Mayor Karamjit Singh Rintu, who recently joined AAP.
Speaking to reporters here on Thursday, Manish Sisodia said, “The Aam Aadmi Party government is the first in the country to launch a plan to extend government facilities to people’s homes in Delhi. In order to avail government facilities in Delhi, people do not have to go to offices or visit the houses of any minister or MLA, but 300 types of facilities and services are delivered to people’s doorsteps,” he said. He told the people that after the formation of AAP government, all government facilities and services would be extended to the homes of the people in Punjab too.
Talking about the deteriorating law and order situation in Punjab, Manish Sisodia said that all the officers and employees of Punjab Police were good but there was political interference in the police administration. Leaders of political parties run all kinds of mafias including drug mafia. Illegal businesses have political patronage. Therefore, police personnel cannot take strict action against the mafia rule. He said that bribery was involved in the appointment of Punjab police officers and political leaders were handing over law and order in the hands of some corrupt police officers. Sisodia said there would be no political interference in the affairs of the police administration in the AAP government and the corrupt system will be cleaned.
Sisodia said that that the Kejriwal government in Delhi has made great strides by bringing in good teachers, doctors and other officials, and similarly, in Punjab by bringing in good police officers, law and order would be restored and mafia rule would be ended.
