AAP Punjab leadership to visit Sri Kartarpur Sahib on November 19

Date:

Chandigarh, November 17

Expressing happiness over the opening of Sri Kartarpur Sahib (Pakistan) corridor, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab said that the AAP MLAs under the leadership of party state president and MP Bhagwant Mann will visit Gurdwara Sri Kartar Sahib on November 19 to pay obeisance.

Announcing the visit to Sri Kartarpur Sahib on Wednesday, AAP state president and MP Bhagwant Mann said, “It is of great happiness to open Sri Kartarpur Sahib corridor and on the occasion of Guru Nanak Dev’s Parkash Utsav on November 19; the party MLAs will visit Gurdwara Sri Kartar Sahib, Pakistan, where Guru Nanak Dev ji had cultivated for a long time. On the occasion of Gurpurab, prayers will be offered for the progress, prosperity and happiness of Punjab.

Bhagwant Mann further said that the Arvind Kejriwal-led Delhi government has already included the Kartarpur corridor in the ‘Mukh Mantri Tirath Yatra Yojana’ and under this scheme; the Aam Aadmi Party government has provided free travel to the people of Delhi of various religious places.

It may be recalled that Sikh pilgrims from India used to visit Gurdwara Darbar Sahib in Pakistan through Sri Kartarpur Sahib Corridor, but this corridor was closed due to the outbreak of Covid-19. The Aam Aadmi Party along with the Sikh Sangat, had repeatedly demanded from the central government that Sri Kartarpur Sahib Corridor be opened and finally Sri Kartarpur Sahib Corridor has been opened.
