About 7.88 Lakh MT wheat arrives in Patiala mandis

Deputy Commissioner Mr. Kumar Amit said that about 7.88 lakh metric tonnes of wheat had arrived in the mandis of Patiala district till Sunday evening, out of which 7,76,670 metric tonnes had been procured. Similarly, payment of Rs.1046.99 crore has been transferred to the farmers’ account directly so far.
Giving details of wheat arriving in the mandis today, the Deputy Commissioner said that today 25590 metric tonnes of wheat reached the mandis and 26253 metric tonnes of wheat has been procured. He said that as per progressive total of wheat purchased so far, Pungrain has procured 201003 MT, Markfed has procured 196785 MT, PUNSUP 195445 MT, Punjab Warehousing Corporation 129625 MT, FCI 53712 MT and traders 100 MT.
He said that so far 94 percent wheat has arrived in the mandis and 98 percent of the wheat arriving in the mandis has been procured and 65 per cent of the procured wheat has been lifted.
