Chandigarh, September 20: Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) president Sunil Jakhar on Wednesdy alleged that the Akali leaders were cooking up stories to divert the attention of people from the outcome of Wednesday’s polling. “The elections have been free and fair,” he claimed. “People have given their mandate against the Akalis just like they did during the mayoral polls, Shahkot bypoll and the Gurdaspur parliamentary byelection,” he added.
