Chandigarh, July 23:
Ambassadors of Hope, the online competition holding world record of maximum participation from school students was a top Social Media Trend on Thursday after Punjab Education Minister Vijay Inder Singla revealed the names of winners of Pathankot district.
Aarit Kumar, a class 5 student of Christ The King Convent School was declared first while Yatee, a class 8 student of St Joseph Convent School stood second and Bharti, a class 11 student of Government Senior Secondary School Badhani got the third prize.
“We will announce the winners from remaining 21 districts in a phased manner as list of top 3 students of one district will be shared each day over next three weeks,” the Minister said who has already shared the list of one thousand consolation prize winners last week.
The mega online competition that has already made a world record became a top Trend on Social Media as thousands of people took to Twitter and other Social Media sites to share their experience about the contest. Many students shared their participation certificates expressing gratitude towards the minister.
The first of its kind competition, Ambassadors of Hope created a world record receiving over 1.05 lakh entries from school students in just eight days. The minister has already shared a video packing Apple Ipads, Laptops and tablets that have been dispatched to the winners’ postal address. The video had set the social media frenzied as lakhs of students watched and shared it on Facebook and Twitter.
Singla is also scheduled to meet and felicitate the winners through a video conference next week to encourage them and listen to their ideas for betterment of Punjab. Ambassadors of Hope played a major role in ushering positivity in the state through school students and their families during Covid pandemic.
