Punjab Assembly passes Indian Stamps and MLAs salary Amendment Bills

Chandigarh, November 29, 2017: The Punjab Assembly on Tuesday passed two important Bills by voice vote.

The Bills were moved by Parliamentary Affairs Minister Brahm Mohindra, and put to vote by the Speaker.

The Indian Stamp (Punjab Amendment) Bill, 2017, replaces and ordinance issued earlier, while the other Bill allowed by the Speaker for immediate consideration and later passed by the House was the Punjab Legislative Assembly (Salaries and Allowances of Members) Amendment Bill, 2017.
