Anandpur Sahib Lok Sabha constituency is one of the 13 Lok Sabha (parliamentary) constituencies in Punjab. This constituency came into existence as part of the implementation of delimitation of parliamentary and assembly constituencies in 2008.
Anandpur Sahib is represented by Prem Singh Chandumajra, stalwart of Shiromani Akali Dal. This constituency has typically been swinging between Shiromani Akali Dal and Indian National Congress.

The current MP from Anandpur Sahib is Shiromani Akali Dal’s seasoned politician Prem Singh Chandumajra. He won the seat in the General Elections held in 2014. Chandumajra beat Congress senior leader Ambika Soni and Himmat Singh Shergill was at the third spot. The three beat each other with a very small margin. While Chandumajra polled 347394 votes (31.9 % vote share), Ambika Soni was a close second with 323697 votes (29.7 % vote share) and Himmat Singh Shergill polled 306008 at 28.1 % vote share.
This constituency was represented by Indian National Congress’ Ravneet Singh Bittu in the previous Lok Sabha of 2009.

S.A.S. Nagar assembly segment was created as a part of delimitation of assembly constituencies in 2008.
