Another gangster nabbed by Punjab Police

Date:

The police arrested a “B-class” gangster, identified as Gagandeep, alias Gagan Pandit, last night. Gagan (28) is resident of Chabal town of Tarn Taran. He is reportedly associated with Gounder’s gang and facing 18 criminal cases, including that of murder.

The police recovered a .315-bore country made pistol from his possession. Harpreet Singh, DSP, said, “Gagan is close to Amritpal Singh Bath, who was arrested four days back. Bath of Mianpur village is an aide of Gounder..

He was arrested for sheltering gangsters along with Lovepreet Singh alias Love of Nagoke village on January 28.”In a Facebook post on January 28, Gagan had alleged that Bath was implicated and feared that the police would kill him in an encounter.

The DSP said, “After Gounder’s encounter, gangsters are posting baseless messages on Facbook.”The rural police had booked Gagan Pandit for murder during a marriage function at a resort on the San Sahib road on December 11. Two men had died and three sustained severe injuries during the clash.
