Chandigarh, April 11: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), has taken a serious view of the British Government’s ‘regrets instead of apology’ over the Jallianwala Bagh massacre, saying that Modi-led Government had failed to bring the British Parliament to apologize for the greatest human tragedy.
In a scathing attack on the Narendra Modi-led government at the Centre, the party leaders said the government lacked diplomatic acumen and political will.
In a statement, Punjab unit chief and Member of Parliament (MP) from Sangrur, Bhagwant Mann said the British Parliament had lost a chance to integrate human values and rights for all times, saying it will have to apologize for the horrific act one day.
Mann said dilly-dallying by the British Parliament on the issue only reflected the falling graph of the Modi mojo on the international level.
Mann said his party had appreciated the role of some organisations in England and Canada and in Punjab demanding apology from the government on the floor of the Assembly and Parliament. He said the party had also brought on record the Union government’s failure on the issue at international level too.
