The first song of Rana Ranbir’s directorial ‘Asees’ has just hit the internet. Titled ‘Fakira’, the song is a tale of a mother and son’s unconditional love.
Featuring Rana Ranbir and Rupinder Rupi in the mainframe, the song opens with a dialogue where the mother (played by Rupinder) says, “Kyu chakki firr da menu mitti nu”, to which her son (Rana) replies, “Maa je tu mitti hai, ta main tere charan di dhool han”. This heart touching conversation that shows the love of a son towards his mother will give you goosebumps, not to mention that’s just the beginning. The entire song showcases very delightful moments between Rana and Rupinder; however, the one in which we see Rana carrying his mother on the back is the highlight for sure.
Besides, it is the innocence of Rana Ranbir that steals the show. Check out the video here and see for yourself:
Sung by Lakhwinder Wadali and written by Amar Kavi, the song is meant to melt hearts. At the same time, the music by Tejwant Kittu is giving a Sufi feel to the soothing song.
