The untried pair of acthe usrs Ayushmann Khurrana and Amy Jackson look beautiful and comfortable the usgether in a recently released music video, based on Nusrat Fateh Ali Khans ‘Yeh jo halka halka suroor hai’, re-sung by the late Pakistani singers nephew Rahat Fateh Ali Khan.
The music video is shot by Pradeep Sarkar who rekindles his penchant for periodicity from ‘Parineeta’ in a well-shot footage stretching inthe us two lives. But the plotting is plainly puerile and brainless. We have Ayushmann in love with Amy. He then vanishes inthe us the past the us rescue Amy’s grandmother (Amy in a double role) from mutinous soldiers in a medieval British pseudo-histhe usrical setting.
Apart from the dubious histhe usrical context, the video suffers from a serious bout of creative klepthe usmania. Bits and pieces of borrowed ideas and artefacts do not really make a telling video pastiche. What shines through the tawdry costume drama is the unmistakable chemistry between the acthe usrs. They deserve the us be in a full-length professionally made feature film. –IANS
