Bains brothers alleges Vidhan Sabha secretariat recruitment

Date:

Chandigarh, March 21: Lok Insaaf Party (LIP) MLAs Simarjit Singh Bains and Balwinder Bains on Tuesday alleged a scam in the Vidhan Sabha secretariat recruitment.

Questioning the process adopted in selecting the candidates, Simarjit Singh in his complaint to the CM alleged that the selection process was tweaked to select relatives of senior secretariat staff members.

Claiming to be in possession of the papers, Bains alleged that relatives of the Speaker, Secretary and the Deputy Secretary were among those selected.

Rubbishing the charge, Speaker Rana KP Singh, “The recruitment has been done in a fair and transparent manner. It is for the first time in the history of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha that an advertisement was given to invite applications.

No one is related to me. I am the sole authority to conduct the recruitment. If anybody has any problem, there is a legal remedy to it.”
