Bains orders to repair boundary walls of all govt schools

Punjab School Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains today instructed the department officials to repair the boundary walls, which are in dilapidated condition, of all government schools during the current financial year.

During meeting with Principal Secretary School Education Mrs. Jaspreet Talwar, DGSE Pradeep Agarwal, DPI Kuljit Singh Mahi here today, Mr Bains said that school education is a top priority of the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.

He said that Rs 423 crore has been allocated in Budget to repair the boundary walls of government schools in Punjab.

Taking stock of the progress of “School of Eminence” to be built in the state, the Minister directed the officials to speed up the process in this regard so that these schools can be started at the earliest.
