Chandigarh, January 4:
In order to provide quality health care services to the residents of Zirakpur, CHC Dhakoli has been upgraded to 100 Bed Sub-divisional Hospital and was formally inaugurated by Health and Family Welfare Minister Balbir Singh Sidhu.
Mr. Sidhu said that this move has been taken up to meet up the healthcare needs of zirakpur area, as the population of zirakpur has increased many folds in recent years .
Health Minister said that there was a demand from local people since a long time that a hospital is required in this area , as people are helpless to go Civil hospital Panchkula, GMCH-32 Chandigarh and other private hospitals for their treatment.
On this occasion, Dr. GB Singh, Director Health Services Punjab said that upgradation will improve accessibility of our healthcare system.
Dr. Adarshpal Kaur Civil surgeon Mohali , Dr. Daljeet Singh District Medical Commissioner Mohali, Dr. Pommy Chatrath SMO Dhakoli and Dr Sangeeta Jain SMO Derabassi were also present on this occasion.
