Bhupinder Singh joins as Director, Information and Public Relations Department

An IAS officer of the 2012 batch, Mr. Bhupinder Singh today joined as the new Director of the Information and Public Relations Department, Punjab here at the Punjab Civil Secretariat – 1.

The Director underscored the significance of the Department to act as the bridge between the common man and the Government besides ensuring that the people friendly policies of the State Government percolate down to the grassroots level. He also emphasized upon the importance of the social media as a tool to ensure maximum reach of Government policies and programmes, in keeping with the demands of the present hi tech era.

The incumbent who holds the charge of Special Secretary, Power, exhorted the officers and other staff of the department to work in unison to leave no stone unturned in propagating pro people initiatives of the Government.
