No harm in taking loans, CM says Rana Gurjit is not guilty

Date:

Chandigarh: Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh on Sunday backed Cabinet Minister Rana Gurjit Singh over the allegations that the latter took loans from three companies that paid money to the firm which bid for two sand mines allotted to two of his ex-employees.

“Taking a loan from a person does not hold the borrower guilty,” he said here. On the findings of the Chief Secretary-led committee set up to probe corruption charges against Rana Gurjit, the CM said these would be shared with the media once the Justice JS Narang (retd) Commission report was examined by the officials concerned.
