Ferozepur, November 27, 2017: The poor security arrangements at the Central Jail Ferozepur was once again under threat when the jail inmate – under trial prisoner gangster Kirpal Singh put behind the bars might be trying for a major break-up by disconnecting the CCTV cameras installed in the high-security zone.
With this incident, the jail authorities were in a shock. A complaint on this account was lodged by the Jail Supdt. with the local police station by attaching the copy of the CCTV footage and a case under Sections 427 PC Sec 4 Damage of Property Act 2008.
Sources said, immediately after the incident, the security in the jail was beefed up. It is not understood as to why the prisoner in high-security zone was allowed to move out of the barrack. Earlier also, there had been the number of incidents when during the search operation mobile phones were recovered and the security arrangements and connivance of the jail staff are already underscan.
