HT had exclusively highlighted that the DNA report was negative and that ‘paternity of the accused was excluded’ from this case on Tuesday. The case has now ended up at the start again, with the cops groping in the dark following the findings of the CFSL report.
Two months after the rape and pregnancy came to light and a month after the victim delivered amid immense fear, police are now trying to get hold of other suspects in the case.
SSP, Chandigarh, met the victim at her house on Thursday to gather clues about other possible accused in the case. However, the girl and her family maintained their stance about her uncle, the complainant’s cousin, being the only accused in the case.
