Channi: Families whose kids were lost to drugs will never pardon Badals, Kejriwal or Capt

Dholbaha (Hoshiarpur), December 24: Punjab Chief Minister Mr Charanjit Singh Channi on Friday said that families who have lost their sons due to menace of drugs will never forgive Badals, Kejriwal and Captain for their sins against state.

 

Addressing the gathering after laying foundation stone of Maharana Pratap Government College here today, the Chief Minister said that Badals, BJP, Captain and Kejriwal all are culprits of Punjab as they had patronised the drug trade in state. He said that while in power Badals, BJP and Captain Amarinder Singh had shielded the accused of drug trade, Kejriwal had backstabbed Punjabis through supporting drug mafia by tendering unconditional apology to Akali leader Bikram Singh Majithia. However, CM Channi took the pledge that he will eradicate the curse of drugs from state for which his government has already set the wheels in motion.

Training his guns against Badals and Captain, the Chief Minister said that these elite rulers of the state have always used the power of state for minting the money illegally. He said that while in power these leaders have never thought about the masses and have rather plundered the wealth of the state ruthlessly. CM Channi said that his government has reversed this trend by using tax payer’s money for well being of people and progress of the state.

The Chief Minister unequivocally said that he will not spare a single person who has committed sin against the people of Punjab. He urged the common people to unite and support the Congress party by rising above their parochial considerations of caste, creed, colour and religion. CM Channi said that it is the need of hour to save Punjab from the clutches of these vultures who want to loot the money of state.

The Chief Minister further said that Punjab has witnessed a revolutionary change as for the first time power has been given to a common man like him instead of any landlord or Royal person. He said that his government aims to ensure equal opportunities to all and access of everyone to the resources of the state.

CM Channi said that as a part of pro-people policies of state government power bill arrears worth Rs. 1500 crore have been waived, Power rates for domestic consumers have been reduced by Rs. 3 per unit, Bills to the tune of Rs. 1200 crore have been waived off in respect of motors in rural areas, water charges brought down to Rs. 50 and rates for sand have been reduced a lot.

The Chief Minister said that in consonance with the life and philosophy of Sri Guru Ravidass ji the state government is working hard to carve out an egalitarian society. He said that every decision is being made to ensure holistic development of every strata of society and prosperity of its people. CM Channi said that sole aim is to make Punjab a front ranking state in country by providing clean, transparent, effective and responsive administration.

Meanwhile, the Chief Minister also announced a grant worth Rs 10 crore for holistic development of Sham Chaurasi assembly segment. He also announced to upgrade Januari hospital, construction of stadium in the assembly segment and upgrading infrastructure at Ram Leela ground Hariana.

Earlier, Forest Minister Mr Sangat Singh Giljian and Congress leader Mrs Alka Lamba in their address hailed the Chief Minister for taking several pro-people initiatives. They said that a new era of unprecedented development and prosperity has dawned in state since CM Channi has assumed charge of office.

Meanwhile, MLA Sham Chaurasi Mr Pawan Kumar Aadia welcomed the Chief Minister.

On the occasion Cabinet Minister Mr Sangat Singh Giljian, MLA Mr Pawan Kumar Aadia and Mr Sunder Sham Arora were also present.
