Chandigarh, October 4:
Punjab Finance, Planning, Excise and Taxation Minister Harpal Singh Cheema has extended warm greetings to the people of the state on the occasion of Dussehra and Durga Pooja.
In his message, the Finance Minister said that the festival celebrates the victory of Lord Rama over Ravana. “It also celebrates the triumph of Goddess Durga over demon Mahishasur. It is a celebration of victory of truth over lies, triumph of the righteous and defeat of evil,” said Cheema.
Extending his greetings on this occasion, the minister wished that the occasion shall inspire the people of the state to follow the path of virtue and guide towards amity, development and prosperity.
He also urged the people of the state to celebrate this festival with communal harmony and brotherhood.
