Chetan Singh Jauramajra Conducts Surprise Check at Horticulture dept Head Office

Date:

Chandigarh, 29th May
Mr. Chetan Singh Jauramajra, Minister of Horticulture and Information and Public Relations, Punjab, conducted a surprise check at the Head Office of the Director of Horticulture, Punjab, at 7:30 am. During the surprise check, six officers/employees were found absent. The Cabinet Minister asked the officials/employees to be punctual in the office.

Hailing the decision of the Bhagwant Mann government to change office timings as a novel initiative, Jauramajra said our visionary Chief Minister’s aim was to make public offices in the state more efficient. The general public will be able to access the required government services during the early hours of the day. After obtaining the desired services, people can focus on their other familial responsibilities. This way, they will not have to wait until 5 PM. However, government servants also need to buckle up and change their habits. Every government employee should be present in the office at the designated time of 7:30 in the morning. He exhorted the employees to become catalysts of change in fulfilling the dream of Bhagwant Mann in the making of Rangla Punjab. The public should not face any inconvenience in obtaining services at government offices. He also warned of strict disciplinary action if any employee is found to be late in the future.

The Horticulture Minister also reviewed various schemes running in the department. Jauramajra instructed the Director of Horticulture that the departmental schemes should be promoted and extended to the farmers as much as possible so that the farmers can benefit from them.
