CM to inaugurate two-day Punjab State Youth Festival on January 30

Chandigarh, January 28: With a vision to encourage youth’s participation in the development and progress of the state, Department of Sports & Youth Services, Punjab is organizing a two day ‘Punjab State Youth Festival-2020’ at Chandigarh University, Gharuan on January 30 and 31.

Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh will inaugurate the State level Youth Festival on January 30 and well-known actor and senior Congress leader Raj Babbar would be presiding over the closing ceremony on January 31.

Punjab Sports, Youth Services and NRI Affairs Minister Rana Gurmeet Singh Sodhi said the Punjab State Youth Festival-2020 aims to recognize the contribution of Youth towards the development of the state.

Youth Icon awards will be given by the Chief Minister.

The Minister said during the two days mega event, more than 50 start-ups owned by youth of Punjab and more than 50 innovative project developed by students of various colleges and Universities of Punjab would be displayed at Punjab Innovation and Startup Expo-2020.

Apart from this, career summit, defence exhibition, Punjab Heritage Exhibition – VIRSA and Talent Hunt competition would be organized.

Live-in concert by Bollywood singer Neeti Mohan and Punjabi singer Jordan Sandhu, Ninja, Nooran Sisters and others would be organized on the closing day of the Festival.
