CM’s inefficiency stamped by Cong high command: Kultar Sandhwan

Date:

Chandigarh, June 24

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders said that their party had been saying for a long time about the Congress government in Punjab that Captain Amarinder Singh is a failed Chief Minister and the Congress government has not fulfilled any of its promises to the people of Punjab. In support of this statement, the Congress High Command termed Captain Amarinder Singh as a failed Chief Minister and directed him to deliver on his promises within the stipulated time. Addressing a press conference held at the party headquarters here on Thursday, AAP MLA and Kisan Wing state president Kultar Singh Sandhwan and MLA and Youth Wing president Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer said that the Captain Amarinder Singh-led Congress government had proved to be useless and failed; that is why there was an internal feud going on between the Congress government and the party; because the people of Punjab were no longer entertaining the Congress and its leaders.

Kultar Singh Sandhwan said that before the 2017 elections, Captain Amarinder Singh had made many promises to the people of Punjab by holding Sri Gutka Sahib in his hand but after the elections; Captain Amarinder Singh had reneged on all his promises. He said that after the failure of the pre-poll ‘Nau Nukte’ (9 points) program, the Congress High Command has now directed Captain Amarinder to work on the 18-point program. Sandhwan said that the ultimatum issued by the Congress High Command to Captain Amarinder Singh to release the list of tasks of his government within the time given till July 10; proves that what the people of Punjab and the Aam Aadmi Party says that Captain is a useless and inefficient Chief Minister, has been stamped. He alleged that the Punjab Congress had abandoned the people of Punjab from the farmers’ agitation to the Covid period and had shied away from every duty performed by the government.

The AAP leaders said that unlike the Akali government, Captain Amarinder Singh did not take any action on drugs, unemployment, mafia and all the issues. They said that no justice had been done to the people of Punjab in important cases like desecration of Sri Guru Granth Sahib, Kotkapura firing and post-matric scholarship scam. Sandhwan alleged that the 18-point program given by the Congress High Command was in fact a new 18-point election manifesto of the Congress, which was framed by the Congress in the run-up to the elections. “But this time the people of Punjab will not believe these bundles of lies of the Congress. The Congress party has collapsed in Punjab due to its internal feud and like other states of the country, Congress would disappear from Punjab,” he added.

Meet Hayer said that the people of Punjab were in a lot of trouble at the moment, but the Congress leaders were fighting for the seat and were busy grabbing power by pitting each other against each other. He said that Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu himself was saying that the Congress and the Akali Dal were running the Punjab government together and every kind of mafia was working in the same way. Hayer alleged that Punjab was once the leading state of the country but today it has been degraded by the Congress and the Akali Dal government. He said that today, Punjab’s educated youth, teachers, employees, farmers and students were fighting for their rights, but the Congress party leaders were plundering Punjab’s economic resources through the mafia rule.
