Condolences pour in over veteran journalist NS Parwana’s death

Chandigarh, January 7: Punjab Information and Public Relations Minister Mr. Aman Arora on
Saturday condoled the sad demise of Senior Journalist Mr. NS Parwana, a prominent name of Punjabi Journalism. The veteran journalist breathed his last yesternight.

During his distinguished career as a journalist, he had worked with various leading newspapers. He will always be remembered for his immense contribution to the field of journalism, said the Cabinet Minister.

Haryana CM, politicians offer condolences

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Saturday expressed deep condolences to the bereaved family of veteran journalist NS Parwana, who died on Friday. Khattar paid homage to Parwana’s mortal remains at the Mohali cremation ground and extended sympathies to the family. Parwana was 89 years old.

Parwana was working with the Ajit Samachar newspaper. Along with the CM, Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala, Additional Principal Secretary to the CM and Director General, Information, Public Relations and Languages Department, Dr Amit Agrawal, also expressed their condolences.

“An era of journalism has come to an end with the demise of NS Parwana. Parwana was an important pillar in the field of journalism and his contribution had been commendable. The specialty of his personality was that he remained associated with journalism even till the last moment. He had a deep passion for journalism and raised the voice of the common man prominently”, Khattar said.

Vidhan Sabha Speaker condoles Parwana’s death

Punjab Vidhan Sabha Speaker S. Kultar Singh Sandhwan also expressed profound grief over the sad demise of renowned Journalist Mr. N. S. Parwana.

S. Sandhwan expressed his heartfelt sympathies with the bereaved family and relatives of Mr. Parwana. He also prayed to the Almighty to give them strength to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss and grant eternal peace to the departed soul.

Meanwhile, Aman Arora also expressed deep grief over the tragic death of Mr. Sunil Kumar, Senior Cameraman of Sanjha TV. He died in a road accident yesternight.

Extending his heartfelt sympathies with the bereaved families, relatives and friends of the deceased media persons, Mr. Aman Arora prayed to the Almighty to give them strength to bear this irreparable loss and grant eternal peace to the departed souls.

Meanwhile, Principal Secretary Information and Public Relations Mr. Rahul Bhandari and Director Mrs. Sonali Giri also shared their heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families.
