Congress is trying to disturb the atmosphere of Punjab: Raghav Chadha

Date:

Chandigarh, January 22

Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) Punjab affairs co-in-charge Raghav Chadha expressed displeasure over the provocative statement of Mohammad Mustafa, principal strategic advisor to PPCC president Navjot Singh Sidhu and said that in the time of election Congress party, under some nefarious conspiracy, is trying to disturb the atmosphere of Punjab. Congress leaders and their advisers are making such provocative statements to disturb the peace of Punjab. Raghav Chadha added that such statements are against Punjab, Punjabi and Punjabiyat.

Chadha alleged that Mustafa was close to both Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi and Navjot Singh Sidhu. Mustafa has given such a statement only at the behest of Channi and Sidhu. Such statements reflect the thinking of the Congress party and its leaders. Chadda appealed to the Election Commission to take notice of Mustafa’s provocative statement and demanded strict action against him for trying to vitiate the atmosphere of a poll bound state.

Chadha said that today Punjab needs people who will strengthen the communal peace, not the people who try to divide communities with irresponsible words. Such provocative statements can only harm the society. He said that the Aam Aadmi Party government would improve the law and order situation in Punjab and ensure the safety of the people by taking proper action against peace disturbing elements.
