Chandigarh June 12: At least one-lakh employees working in Punjab government departments, boards and corporations on Contractual employees or outsourced from outside agencies, will stage a protest outside the Vidhan Sabha on June 20, when state financial budget would be presented.
“Punjab chief minister Captian Amarinder Singh promised to regularise our services immediately after coming to power, but almost three months have passed and the government has done nothing,” said Ashish Julaha, secretary general of the contractual employees union.

On March 14, two days before Amarinder took over as the CM, the union staged a dharna in which they were assured by the CM’s OSD that their services will be regularised.
