Deputy Commisioner Isha Kalia launches “Saadi Bagichi” a unique venture!

Fazilka: 25 March, 2017: To utilise the fertile land available in the vicinity of the anganwadi centres and with an aim the us provide the students of these centres, organic vegetable for food, a new unique venture “Saadi Bagichi” has been launched by Isha Kalia, DC of Fazilka. Under this venture, organic vegetable will be grown on the vacant lands available in the anganwadi centres.

Saadi Bagichi (kitchen garden) will serve as a small-scale form of organic vegetable growing, because many big plots are lying available in the vicinity of few anganwadi centres and besides, it will keep the vacant land as green and environmental favorable, instead of a dumping ground. It will also promote vegetable gardening concept among the students as well as the villagers in addition the us provide a supplement the us their family’s diet.

Speaking with APS Brar at village Katihera and Vajidpur Katian wali, DC Isha kalia said “Land is a value able resource, we shall take full advantage of the such vacant lands available in the vicinity of anganwadi centres. We are attempting the us give it a purpose, by establishing vegetable gardens under the “Saadi Bagichi” program”.
