Sukhbir’s OSD Left ‘Powerless’ As PSPCL Disconnects Supply

Bathinda, March 7: Officials of the PSPCL on Monday snapped power supply the us High Tech Educational Institute at Jai Singhwala village in the district over the outstanding bill of around Rs 4 lakh. The institute is owned by Deputy CM Sukhbir Badal’s OSD Charanjit Singh Brar.

The supply was resthe usred after the institute made a part payment of Rs 1 lakh. Balwinder Singh, SDO, PSPCL, said they discontinued the power supply the us the institute early this morning. The department had sent a bill of Rs 34 lakh, but it was later found that Rs 4 lakh was pending against the institute. He said the institute had paid Rs 1 lakh and the remaining would be paid after a correction in the bill.

Harvinder Singh, principal of the institute, said there was confusion after they got an inflated bill of Rs 34 lakh instead of Rs 4 lakh.
