Dewan and Bawa honor Gurmeet Gill, NRI Affairs Coordinator

Punjab Large Industrial Development Board Chairman Pawan Dewan and Punjab State Industrial Development Corporation Chairman Krishan Kumar Bawa called on US Coordinator and President of US Chapter of Indian Overseas Congress Punjab Sales Gurmeet Singh Gill was honoured at Udyog Bhawan during a meeting. Various topics related to NRI society were also discussed during the meeting.

Dewan and Bawa lauded the NRI community for their significant contribution in the development of foreign countries;due to their hard work, India and especially Punjab has made a name for itself abroad. They also contribute towards the development of their villages from time to time. He appealed to the NRI community to contribute in Punjab especially in the fields of education and health so that the living standards of the people could be raised even higher.

Mr. Gill thanked the Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh and the Minister for NRI Affairs Mr. Rana Gurmeet Singh Sodhi who had given him a huge and important responsibility by making him the US Coordinator on NRI Affairs.

He disclosed that an NRI Conference is being organized on February 17 at Jagraon during which he would try to resolve the issues of majority and property on the land belonging to the NRI community.

Among others present on the occasion were Manjit singh Nijjar Cordinater Uk ,Davinder Singh Gill, Jaswinder Singh Chhinda, Gurpreet Singh Virk, Iqbal Singh Sandhu, Ishwinder Singh.
