Diwali Bumper illuminates life of Muktsar farmer

Rajinder Singh, a farmer from village Kotbhai of Sri Muktsar district, has turned crorepati overnight as he won the second prize of Rs 1 Crore of Punjab State Dear Diwali Bumper. The results of the bumper were announced on November 8.

Rajinder Singh has won this prize for lottery ticket number A-875367. The lucky winner today submitted the lottery ticket and other required documents for encashment of the prize money at the State Lotteries Department’s office at Chandigarh.

Rajinder Singh said he has two daughters and a son. He will use the prize money for his daughters’ wedding, building a house and fulfilling other basic needs.

Lotteries department officials assured the lucky winner that the prize money would be credited to his bank account soon.
