Dr. Andesh Kang assumes charge as Director Health & Family Welfare

Dr. Andesh Kang today assumed charge as Director Health and Family Welfare, Punjab. In an administrative reshuffle in the Health and Family Welfare Department Punjab the postings of the three Directors were changed.

Giving further details, spokesperson of the Health Department said that Dr. Om Prakash Gojra assumed charge of Director Health Services (Family Welfare) and Dr. Gurinderbir Singh joined as Director Health Services (ESI). On this occasion all the staff of the head office welcomed the newly appointed directors and assured them of full cooperation in the functioning of the department.

It is worth mentioning that Director Health and Family Welfare Dr. Andesh Kang started her government service in 1988 as a medical officer, in 2013 promoted as an SMO and promoted as Civil Surgeon Moga in 2020. During her service tenure she also served as State Nodal Officer Food Safety.

Similarly Director Health Services (Family Welfare) Dr. Om Prakash Gojra started his career in the government service in 1988 as a Medical Officer. After promotion to the post of Civil Surgeon in the year 2020, he was appointed as the Principal of the State Institute of Health and Family Welfare, Mohali.

Director Health Services (ESI) Dr. G.B. Singh started his government service as a Medical Officer in the Health Department in 1988 and he was promoted in 2013 as SMO. In February 2020, after promotion he joined as Civil Surgeon Barnala.
